Puzzle Solution Version published in The Enigma

This puzzle appeared in Microsoft Puzzle Hunt A, whose theme was Atlantis. This is the first cryptic crossword I ever wrote. After Puzzle Hunt, I submitted it for inclusion in the National Puzzlers' League newsletter, The Enigma.
